We're planning to develop Carly Hibberd Park in Velodrome Drive, Kearneys Spring. The park is named in honour of elite Toowoomba cyclist the late Carly Hibberd.
The project aims to encourage people of all ages and abilities to visit and stay longer at the park. Potential improvements may include new features such as playgrounds, picnic facilities, walking and cycling paths, formalised parking and landscaping. A map of the park is provided below (click to enlarge).
Have your say
Thanks to everyone who shared their ideas and suggestions for the park during January and February 2021.
Survey feedback will be used to guide the development of a draft master plan for the park. You’ll have an opportunity to review and comment on the draft master plan hereand at customer service centresfrom Saturday 6 March 2021. You can also view the draft master plan and speak with us in the park on Saturday 6 March from 10am-12pm.
Please note, any future improvement works will be subject to available capital funding and Council priorities.
