As part of the Toowoomba City Centre Car Parking Strategy, Council recognises there are pressures on car parking in the CBD for a variety of reasons and has adopted a range of short, medium and long-term strategies for parking options in the CBD.

Options for three hour (3P) parking in the CBD

<p>Council continues to receive feedback stating there is not enough customer car parking for CBD businesses.</p><p>Presently, Council allows parking up to eight hours maximum for $7.50 per day in Central car park, which is close to both Ruthven and Margaret streets.</p><p>This eight hour parking is being  predominantly utilised by all day workers, making it difficult for CBD customers to find parking spaces.</p><p>All day parking is currently available at Julia Street and Herries/Water streets car park for $5 per day.</p><p><br>Should Council consider reintroducing a three hour (3P) paid parking section within Central car park to make it easier for CBD customers to find a parking space?</p>
