The CHANGE Project provides a range of free and low-cost activities across the region focused on improving physical activity, healthy eating and mental wellbeing.
Activities include fitness bootcamps, Parkrun, martial arts and boxing, yoga, meditation and mental wellbeing programs, dance classes, online healthy living programs, healthy eating workshops, kids soccer and laser tag. Click here to see the full list of activities.
The CHANGE Project 2018 Survey
We invited the community to share their ideas and aspirations for the future of the CHANGE Project through completing a survey. We gained valuable feedback about what you like about the program, where we can improve and you and your family’s active recreation needs.
You told us:
your favourite CHANGE Project activities are energise / fitness classes
your number one barrier to participating in active recreation is lack of spare time
the CHANGE Project has helped increase your physical activity levels (91% of participants), mental wellbeing (90% of participants) and healthy eating habits (72% of participants)
you love having access to beginner-friendly activities with welcoming environments (90% of participants) and affordable services (90% of participants)
you love participating in activities which are close to home (81% of participants)
you’d love to see more yoga and pilates classes and low-cost pay-as-you-go social sporting sessions in the future.
We're using the survey feedback to guide future strategies in promoting and providing opportunity for healthy and active living in the Region.
