Toowoomba Regional Council is conducting a survey to gauge community groups’ views on their preferred opening hours for the Toowoomba City Library Community Rooms.

Council welcomes feedback from community and not-for-profit groups on their meeting arrangements.

Survey results will be reviewed to help identify the most appropriate hours of operation to meet community needs and utilisation, while ensuring affordability and sustainability of services to the community following our current trial operating hours up to June 30, 2021.

Council is conducting the review of operating hours to ensure it offers the most appropriate services at an affordable level for ratepayers.

The Community Rooms are available for hire by community groups between 9am and 5pm weekdays and from 10am to 3pm on Saturdays, during the trial period.

There is no change to the availability of other community spaces which can be hired, including the Dr Price Room, the Highfields Cultural Centre, Oakey Cultural Centre and the Railway Goods Shed.

The survey has now closed. Council thanks everyone who provided feedback.
