Renewal works starting mid-March 2024

Construction works to renew some existing amenities at Factory Dam Park in Smith Street, Millmerran will commence in mid-March 2024, weather permitting.

These works will improve the safety and usability of the park.

The project will renew a personalised paved pathway with a new concrete path, replace aging skate ramps, install a new water bottle filler and plant shade trees. Please view the concept design below for more information (click to download).

Work will be undertaken from Monday to Friday between 6am and 6pm.

Access will be maintained to the shelter at all times. Access to the toilets will be restricted for a maximum period of one week while the pathway at the entry is completed and half of the dam will be accessible at any time while work is undertaken to the remaining section.

Access will be maintained to the skatepark until the commencement of works to replace some aging skate ramps during April 2024, weather permitting.

Construction is expected to be finalised during late May 2024, weather permitting.

Thank you to everyone who provided feedback on the project during February 2024.

Council is currently reviewing all feedback and aims to prioritise suggestions linked to community safety and accessibility. All suggestions will be kept on record for consideration in any future master planning works.

Any additional works at the park will be subject to available capital funding and Council priorities.
