Planning together to preserve our natural, rural and urban landscapes

The Love your local landscapes project is an important part of Council’s Toowoomba Region Futures program which will shape a community vision for growth and development in our Region for the next 30 years.

The Toowoomba Region features diverse scenes that are loved by the community, from rich natural landscapes to iconic streets and buildings. These places contribute to our character and identity and make our Region a place where we want to work, live, play – and stay, for many years to come.

Council is completing a Scenic Amenity Study to help ensure the landscapes you love are protected and enhanced into the future.

This study will guide the development of planning policies and will be used to develop a new Toowoomba Region Planning Scheme.

Tell us the types of landscapes you value the most

There is a lot to love about the Toowoomba Region – particularly our natural, rural and urban landscapes.

To help Council understand the landscapes most valued by community, have your say by taking the Scenic Preference Survey before midnight on Sunday 14 March.

Findings from the survey will be shared with the community in mid-2021.
