Council Grants- Show me the money!

6 June 2017

Are you a not-for-profit organisation looking to fund your next initiative? Want to get a head start on all the other applicants?

Council's grant programs provide opportunities for not-for-profit organisations and individuals across the region to gain funding for their initiatives.

This is a chance for you to meet with Council staff to discuss your project and get one-on-one support to increase your capacity to be successful in Council's next round of funding.

Council officers will be available at three public information sessions to answer queries about eligibility criteria, grant guidelines and hand out applications forms.

Session dates include:

- Tuesday, July 11 at the Clifton Service Centre, 4-5:30pm

- Wednesday, July 12 at the Toowoomba City Library community meeting rooms (top floor), 4-5:30pm

- Thursday, July 13 at the Crows Nest Community and RSL Centre, 4-5:30pm

This is a chance for you to meet with Council staff to discuss your project and get one on one support to increase your capacity to be successful in Councils next round of funding.

Preference is given to applications that fulfil a range of criteria covering community inclusiveness and interaction, a willingness to encourage community partnerships, upgrading facilities or services or to establish a new service, facility or initiative.

The competitive review process means that not all projects always can be fully funded. These sessions are a great place to start the planning process ensuring your organisation has the best chance of gaining the green tick of approval.

Applications open 1 July 2017 and close August 1, 2017. More information about each category of funding can be viewed at www.tr.qld.gov.au/grants
