Councillor October Visits, the word on the streets

Toowoomba Regional Councillors enjoyed time out in the region on Friday, 20 October. Cr Williams made his way to Highfields, Cr McDonald, Cr O’Shea and Cr Ramia visited Pampas and Millmerran, Cr Glasheen and Cr O’Hara-Sullivan headed north to Maclagan and Quinalow while Cr Tait and Cr Cahill enjoyed visiting the communities of Westbrook and Hodgson Vale.

Councillors engaged with locals giving the community an opportunity to have their say. Some of the matters raised on the day included:

  • Request for speed mitigation devices to be installed along Freyling Road, Hodgson Vale

  • Upgrades to the Westbrook Cenotaph to include plaques to honour servicemen and women

  • Request for Council to review Goombungee Public Library Hours to enable increased access to WiFi

  • Request for a dump point to be installed in Goombungee

  • Possible fire hazards located in Millmerran Woods

The next regional visits from the Councillors will take place on Friday 17 November 2017.
