We have just celebrated Queensland Day here in Pittsworth at the Pioneer Village on Sunday 10 June, with Crs McDonald, Sommerfield and O'Hara Sullivan all attending and making the day pretty special. More than 200 locals and visitors attended the celebrations. There was lots for everyone to see and do with Broxburn Music Club performing country music throughout the morning. There were also demonstrations by vintage car owners and lace makers as well as spinning and weaving, woodcrafts, and many display buildings open for the public to see at the village. Wonderful refreshments were supplied by our volunteers from the History Pittsworth Group and the Pittsworth Woodcrafters. A perfect day for families to be out enjoying Queensland Day. If it wasn't for our dedicated local volunteers, this day would not be achievable.
