Toowoomba Regional Council has proposed to make Subordinate Local Law No. 1.15 (Carrying Out Works on a Road or Interfering with a Road or its Operation) 2024.

The proposed subordinate local law repeals Subordinate Local Law No. 1.15 (Carrying Out Works on a Road or Interfering with a Road or its Operation) 2020.
The purpose and general effect of the proposed subordinate local law is to:
- regulate the undertaking of a prescribed activity, and in particular, carrying out works on a road or interfering with a road or its operation, under Local Government Act 2009, section 75; and
- prescribe documents and materials that must accompany an application for approval for the prescribed activity; and
- prescribe criteria that must be satisfied about the undertaking of the prescribed activity prior to the grant of an approval for the prescribed activity; and
- prescribe conditions that will ordinarily be imposed on an approval for the prescribed activity.
Written submissions in support of, or objecting to, the proposed subordinate local law, are invited during the consultation period from Saturday 21 December 2024 to Wednesday, 5 February 2025.
Submissions must state:
- the grounds of the submission; and
- the facts and circumstances relied on in support of the grounds.
